What might I see happening on the farm?

Farming is seasonal, so depending on what time of year you visit, you may get to see the crops being sown during late April through until mid June. November and December you may see the crops being harvested.  We run sheep, so there may be times where we are rounding up the sheep to bring them up to the shearing shed for shearing.  Our cattle may also be in the nearby paddock, they are great to watch and observe as they graze, with some cows with calves.  Many other farming activities are done during the year, so there is usually something to see. If you bump into Andrew, don't hesitate to ask him if you can take you on a tour!

What is the weather like on the farm?

We recommend you bring some warm clothes with you during the winter months, as it can get a little colder than Perth.  Especially when you are outdoors.

Make sure you bring sun protection during the warmer months too, especially a hat.

Can I light a fire?

Yes you can, buy only within the unrestricted burning period which is typically April to September, but please check with us first to ensure proper regulations are followed.

We have a designated fire pit area with wood supplied, which you are most welcome to use, bring some marshmallows and toast them on the fire while you watch the sun go down.
